Everlasting Voices/Guthanna Síoraí
A marvellous bi-lingual show of poetry, music, song and dance.

Everlasting Voices/Guthanna Síoraí features the poetry of Irish Nobel Laureates Seamus Heaney, WB Yeats and Samuel Beckett, sprinkled with witty aphorisms by Shaw. It takes the audience on a poetic journey from childhood through courtship and marriage into old age.

This thoroughly entertaining show sold out the National Concert Hall in Dublin in 2013 and was the highlight of the Hyderabad Literary Festival in India in January 2014:

‘Megan Kennedy with her apt and graceful dance’ Shiba Minai, Metro India.

‘The baritone of the men transported listeners to far off lands’ Harika Vankadara.

It played The Samuel Beckett Theatre in Dublin, and was cited as one of ‘Dublin’s 10 Unmissable Events in August 2014; Crescent Theatre Belfast’s Artistic Director, Keith Acheson stated: “In terms of our 2014 live events programme, Everlasting Voices was a personal highlight.’                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Keith added: ‘A beautifully staged show and delivered with real artistry and conviction by all of the performers. It was for these reasons that I had absolutely no hesitation in booking Teanga an Ghrá. We are all anticipating another two fantastic performances.” Keith Acheson, Director, Crescent Arts Centre, 20/10/2015.

In June 2015 it was invited to Japan and played in Theater XCai, Tokyo to coincide with the Yeats 150th anniversary celebrations.  Irish ambassador Anne Barrington attended and made a speech afterwards saying how much it meant to her and it was  lauded by the President of the Japanese Yeats Society. The Irish versions of the poems have been translated by world-renowned poet Gabriel Rosenstock.
